If you like Zombies, and you’re not a Serious Stan, check out Dr Dales Zombie Dictionary: The A-Z Guide To Staying Alive. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for those flesh-eating fiends, and like every other horror freak I have imagined how I would survive a zombie apocalypse. So of course this book caught my attention as a must read. There were lots of bits of information that I know will come in handy when z-day comes. For example who would think that one of the safest places to go in the beginning stages of the apocalypse would be a cemetery? But thanks to Dr Dale, now we know. Also we are briefly informed on the benefits of knitting, or the “duh” reasoning on why you should not wear a helmet. While there is lots of sound advice within the pages of this dictionary, it is kept lighthearted, which I sincerely appreciate. I’m just saying, if the day comes when the dead do walk the earth, or should I say when, then at least I won’t be bored silly trying to research pertinent information to my survival. Also there are lots of fun illustrations. Who doesn't like pictures, seriously. Check out this book, prepare for the day we dread, a.k.a. the day we finally get to test out our survival skills. What have you got to lose?
If you live in the US you can pre-order it here. Or if you're lucky you already own it because you live in a country cooler than my own. Happy reading!
